Hello and welcome beautiful Souls!
This week I wanted to give you Three Ways that you can Nurture Your Self Worth so that you can create inner security and feel more connected to your body and more confident in your own skin. It’s so easy to get caught up in appearances and we’re constantly comparing our bodies to other women. And men doing the same with other men, even though it’s not as widely discussed, it still happens. Men can struggle with Low Self Worth just as much as women, they just don’t really get a place to talk about it openly and vulnerably. They tend to bottle it up, rather than project it outwardly.
As individuals, regardless of your gender identification, we all struggle with Self Worth issues to some degree, but some of us “worse” than others and it is quite damaging to the mind, body and Spirit. Because, remember, your Spirit knows its innate value without a doubt! It knows the Truth of it's worth for certain. It doesn’t present in a dominating or forceful way, rather it manifests as a gentle expansion of the mind and heart, that allows for more energy to move through our beings with less resistance and more acceptance.
When we connect intimately to our Spirit, we no longer attach our Sense of Self, and our Value to the Material World. Does it still exist? Of course! But, nurturing your Self Worth will actually have you seeking less from the Material World. It just won’t matter ;) as much anymore. The more connected to our Soul we become, the more we can let go of material desires, and you will find your Self desiring more and more and more and more and more… you get the picture! You’re going to actually want more peace, more presence, more connection, more acceptance, more devotion, more faith, more love, more passion, more abundance, more and more and more expansion in the mind, body and Soul!
That’s the best part about reuniting with our Divine Feminine Energy, “She” can expand infinitely, “her'' capacity is limitless. I mean how luscious, but also a tad intimidating, is that? That connection with your Intuition, with your emotions will consume you, for sure, but it will also carry you, if you let it. When we’re moving through the unknown it can seem daunting, maybe a tad overwhelming, and definitely infuriating, at least that’s what feels like for me currently, and I am going to be sharing with you just exactly how I am managing to keep my Self afloat amongst the Emotional Depths, this Scorpio Season will bring. My hope that you can use this as a guide to navigate your own Emotional Depths while also nurturing your Self Worth. It’s so easy to beat ourselves up when we feel like we’re drowning, but please, let me show you the way, because you CAN do this! I believe in you!
Number One: Self Talk
This is going to be a “biggie” with this Scorpio Season during Mercury Retrograde. Using our Voice to direct our reality and create more of what we do want, rather than complaining, or gossiping, using your Voice with Intention is going to be a theme for this upcoming season. So, be on the “lookout” for your negative thought patterns. The only way we can direct how we speak is by becoming conscious of our thoughts, through acts of mindfulness, which I mentioned in last weeks Blog Post {Three Ways to Cultivate Inner Peace} so be sure to check that out and create a beautiful place in your mind.
Speak to your Self and others with kindness, compassion and gentleness. When you catch your Self beating your Self up or feeling doubtful and insecure, anxious, or uncertain, or all of the above, return to that beautiful place in your mind. Fill your mind with hope, happiness, peace, love, harmony. Begin to think thoughts that are going to build you up and make you feel good about your Self.
Using Affirmations also came up last week and I think that will continue to benefit you as you continue to put in the “work” and “labor” through the discomfort and discipline it takes to be conscious of your Inner Dialogue. Remember, your thoughts and the chatter you hear in your mind all day long, is not WHO YOU ARE, it is just energy in motion, passing by. You are simply a receiver of it, let it move through you in order to alchemize it and turn your “negative’ experience/perception into a “positive” experience/perception. And that is your Power. Your ability to remain centered, calm, non-reactive, present and at peace amidst the emotional and energetic upheaval while also aware that you are not what is happening outside of you, you will stay centered knowing you are an extension of The Divine/Source/God. {I have created and linked this weeks Relationship Toolbox "Birth a New Earth" a mindful movement sequence to assist you with Self Care when working through change}
Begin to speak to your Self in high regard, speak to your Self with honesty and compassion and watch as that alters your Self image. When we suffer from body image issues it stems from a deeply rooted wound that started in the mind. When you can still the mind through presence you can identify where these negative voices came from, whether it be your mom crtiticzing and shaming her body, or the photoshopped magazines, or the images you see on TV, influencing your beliefs about your body since you were a young child. Our society plays a big role in shaping our young subconscious minds. Our subconscious is our conditioning/programming. So identifying your patterns will assist you in creating new, self loving and self respecting habits, including your Inner Dialouge. We can become so easily manipulated through unconsciousness and our society has encouraged and infulenced us to hate ourselves, in fact they’re making “bank” of it.
It’s truly sickening and it can make your mind sick, and it distorts the Immaculate Image we are born with. We all have a deep understanding, whether we’re aware of it or not, of who we are. We know who we are and why we're here. We just forgot and what’s happening is that we’re REMEMBERING our Power and that Power is our Presence. Being deeply connected to All That Is, reunites us with the Immaculate Image and we see ourselves clearly again. It’s no longer clouded by “pollution” from the media or our mothers, it’s pure beauty, radiating with Divine Love and we KNOW, we Know that we are that SAME DIVINE LOVE and we see our True Beauty again.
Number Two: Self Touch
Incorporating movement is imperative when it comes to using affirmations to heal your mind, because we want to emBODY our Self Worth as much as we want to think it. When we put these two healing powers together, they create literal miracles and your body shifts on a cellular level. So, the positive Self Talk has to be paired with movement of some kind in order for you to reap the best results. Movement allows for the body to recognize the thought and they work together to create the desired emotion, One of my favorite practices is standing in the mirror or lying in bed, or in the bath, and placing my hand on my belly, rubbing, it, while also telling it how beautiful it is and how much i appreciate it and all it does for me.

Don’t get me wrong I still, to this day, find my Self critiquing my Self in the mirror, judging parts of my body and wanting to change this or that. Pulling my skin up to make my belly look flat. But I always return to a baseline of acceptance and peace, because truly my body has come so far and I am proud of it and it is okay for me to celebrate that about my Self. Do I have the “perfect” belly, defintley fucking not, but it’s still a part of me, that does so much to support me and I want to acknowledge that, rather that try to fix it or change it or hate it and shame it. I have learned through this practice how to be at peace in my body, how to accept my Self. Even if you don’t like certain parts of your Self, you can still accept them, welcome them in and be at peace with them, for they make you who you are.
You are so valuable and you deserve to be treated with respect, but first we must learn how to treat our Self in this same regard and when we start to form a deep connection with our Bodies, we begin to feel stronger in them, we feel safer in them and we feel connected to them, this is empowering and will build your sense of Self Worth. Most of us are neglecting our bodies, harming them unconsciously all day long. This is nothing to be ashamed of, only an opportunity for more Self Awareness. As we address these unconscious harmful habits then we can begin to replace them with helpful and healing habits, ones that build us up and make us feel good about ourselves.
Immersing your Self in Sensual Touch will be beneficial for your expansion at this time. Especially with Scorpio Season, its a time of intimately integrating our Shadow Self, which I'll get more into next week! Let this energy take you deeper into your Self than you’ve ever gone before. Sometimes, working with this energy can bring up a lot of shame, because we’ve been taught to hide certain parts of our bodies, or we’ve been punished for touching/exploring our bodies at a young age, so, please, be gentle with your Self. Take it easy by just swaying your hips slowly and sensually in front of the mirror with your hands moving from your belly to your breasts, squeezing your nipples, grabbing your ass, groping your curves, embracing your beautiful fucking body! Allow your Self relax and sink deeper and deeper into your body, feeling your cells infused with pleasure, connection, beauty, peace and love. When you show your body Love like this, it feels supported, heard, and seen by You, it’s “owner”, and in return it begins to support you in new ways, making you feel safe, stable and secure from the inside out.
Number Three: Self Compassion
Awe, the delightful energies of compassion make me want to melt, to rinse my Self clean of all my pains, worries, regrets, doubts, fears and insecurities. Self Compassion is a MUST for the Self Development journey, because we’re going to experience challenging times that are going to “test our faith”, but remember, that is what we came here for, in my opinion, to strengthen our faith, not just in a Higher Power, but more importantly, but in our Self. When we can extend our Self compassion in the times that we are struggling the most, we nurture our faith and our faith leads us in the direction that is of our Highest Good.
The Divine/Source/God wants the best for us, always, but it is We who “get in the way”, we want to force or push or control so that we feel stable and secure, but the Truth is; our stability will never come from the outside in, it will always be rooted in Spirit, for it is our Spirit that is eternal. When we connect with eternity we find an endless supply of support. That support is always available to you, but it requires for you to retreat, to go within, to be with the uncomfortable emotions that are arising and hold your Self through them with Love and the deepest Compassion.
As you cultivate Compassion by being with your Self unconditionally, by speaking to your Self kindly and gently, and by vulnerably connecting to your beautiful body, you will begin to feel a sense of overwhelming gratitude. You will be so wonderstruck by your own ability to support your Self through your hardest times and it will make you stronger, from the inside out. Your strength doesn’t come from force, but from nurturing your Self Worth through acts of Self Compassion. Strength is meeting disharmony with compassion rather than reacting irrationally and impulsively. It’s going to be easier {more habitual} to react strongly than it is to remain peaceful and centered, but that’s the whole “challenge”, in my opinion, for we wouldnt know peace without uncertainty. When you're feeling filled with doubt, and feeling insecure, return to a sense of Inner Security by connecting to Mother Earth, literally allow Nature to Nurture.
Your Self Worth makes you a very attractive magnet for blessed experiences and opportunities, as you build this sense of Self Worth through Self Talk, Self Touch and Self Compassion you are increasing your value, you are devoting to the Divine through your Will and you are feeling supported and strong and stable and secure. Because your Confidence doesn't come from how you “look” on the outside, it doesn't come from how much you have externally or how much power you can exert physically, it comes from God, from Source, from All That Is. And When you’re Self Worth is rooted in Divine Love you will feel confident in who you are. When you’re struggling and feeling plagued with doubt and you're down on your Self, remember this beautiful Souls; you are an extension of Source, all you have to do is return to that place inside your heart where you are infinitely supplied and abundantly supported.
