Rebellion Against the Modern Day Woman

We live in an age where the modern day woman has lost touch with reality.
Living for looks & striving for “beauty” on the outside.
We are a generation obsessed with how we appear outwardly to others.
We place almost all our worth in our bodies.
Yet at the same time, we, as women, have never been more disconnected from them.
We may “appear” to, by presenting ourselves dressed in the latest trends & posing in the “right light” with the best angle in our selfies…
But inwardly, the modern day woman is starving for attention, for connection & love.
We’re taught at a young age to *please* men with our bodies, with our looks, with our clothes.
That our value is placed in metrics. The number on the scale, our pant size, our bra size.
But what we’re not taught is how to truly satisfy our desire to embody God given beauty.
Which is rooted in individuality.
Yet, as little girls we’re desperate to fit in.
We’re embarrassed if our clothes are hand-me-downs or from the used clothes store.
We place our inherit value in physical commodities, including our bodies.
This has caused a massive disconnect with our unique feminine & Godly beauty.
Which goes beyond the surface, beyond metrics & dwells in the innermost part of our being.
What the modern day woman is lacking is a reverent relationship to the Creator of her body.
A solid foundation rooted in True Love.
From my personal experience, & my own relationship with my Maker & my body, nothing makes me feel more feminine than connecting my body to my spirit.
Sweating, using my hands, getting dirty, creating, worshiping, humbling myself in gratitude for the earth, my creation & God.
Complete & total submission to Jesus Christ.
Nothing makes me feel sexier & more turned on, more pure & holy than when I am serving the Lord.
We live in a world where more women would rather have a fresh manicure that cost them an unnecessary amount of money than have dirt under their nails from pulling weeds or planting their own food, from working in the garden or taking care of their home.
Where they’d rather sit inside in front of the TV on their phone shopping or scrolling all day, rather than create, cook, play with their children, get outside, run around & be connected to the earth & their body & the Holy Spirit.
I’m not saying that wanting to be a “material girl” or doing these things is “wrong”, but I am seeing & feeling now more than ever before, this need for a rebellion against what women are taught to be.
Women in this age, are rebelling against God who specifically created them to be stay at home moms, homemakers, caretakers, servants of Jesus Christ, their family, land & home.
There’s never been a time like any other than right now where women are hungry for money & power. This is a distraction masked as “liberation” & “feminism”.
I personally desire to work in a garden outside all day providing for my family, hands in the earth, growing my own food, teaching my children, running around barefoot, wearing modest feminine dresses, reading the Bible, soaking up the sun, cleaning my home, cooking meals, creating, singing worship music, making love in nature, becoming one flesh with my husband & living wild & free in submission to Christ.
I think the biggest misconception of our modern times, that is killing Godly Femininity, is that you need all these things outside of you (career, money, clothes, phones, makeup, manicures, etc.) to be happy & to feel beautiful.
All these things we’ve been taught that make us a “woman” according to the world are really just a way the system, the beauty industry (consumerism) has manipulated & exploited women.
Just like Satan went after Eve in the Garden of Eden, our system is the serpent, money is the apple & women are still the most vulnerable to attack. Targeted with ads in magazines & movies & commercials about anti-aging products & diet pills, shapewear, calorie counting, & so much more.
If you make women self obsess (over their looks) & self focused, it turns them away from their relationship with God. Which is what Satan wants.
& by doing this, it disrupts the Godly structure, & teaches young men to lust after women for their looks, & then these men grow up trying to impress with their bodies & material possessions (jobs, cars, income, house, muscles, clothes, hair) because it’s what they’ve been taught women want, instead of focusing on becoming the embodiment of a Godly Man who is attracted to a Godly woman’s characteristics.
This leads into shallow, dysfunctional relationships that aren’t centered on Christ, but are self-centered & physically focused.
Beauty fades, but the fruits of the spirit are eternal treasures in the Kingdom of Heaven.
There’s never been a time in history where divorce rates have been higher.
Where murdering innocent children under the guise of health care is normalized.
Where pornography consumption has been more accessible.
Where adultery has become a common occurrence.
The modern day woman is being lead by Satan & is desperately seeking God in the world instead of through relationship with Jesus Christ.
The modern day woman is leading men to Satan, just like Eve did when she gave Adam the forbidden fruit & he ate it.
This is exactly why it’s so important, vital even, for women to be humbling serving God in the structure that He designed perfectly to protect women from the enemy & his attacks.
God doesn’t believe that women are weaker than men. He knows that we are more impressionable, more sensitive, more vulnerable. He knows how easily we can be deceived because He created us to be that way. Not to punish us, but to give us a spiritual dimension, that can allow us to be in total submission to His Holy Spirit. Leading us, so that we may guide our men, our husbands & our children closer to Him.
Men & women were created to be different. Their unique God given roles have meaning & purpose. When we choose to rebel against them & make up our own gender rules & roles, we create disharmony, chaos & disorder. This is what Satan is doing right now, in the modern age, to the modern woman. We’re still eating the forbidden fruit, it’s just being packaged & marketed in a different way that tempts the modern day woman.
Biblical teachings of women have been disregarded as disempowerment & “control” when really they were created to keep us from experiencing spiritual/satanic attacks that lead us into sin where we experience emotions such as shame, insecurity, doubt, anxiety, heartbreak, pain, grief, suffering.
In these emotional states of being we are the perfect prey because we’re hungry spiritually & craving comfort. We’re vulnerable & unprotected. We try to fill that void with everything & anything physically to satiate the hunger we feel to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God.
While it can be challenging to uphold a righteous & obedient lifestyle & submit to the commands of scripture, it gives women the freedom & spiritual food they’re seeking through all these other worldly outlets.
Submission to the Word of God, to Jesus Christ is the rebellion against the modern day woman who’s being spiritually attacked by Satan.
The Word of God kills our lustful desires for success & fame & money & to tempt men with our looks & bodies, to be overly sensual with the intent to arouse & control. Which then counteracts the relationship dynamic between men & women. Bringing back harmony & structure to Gods perfect Order.
It can feel restrictive to live according to Gods Law because we are living in an age where lawlessness & sexual immorality is rampant & seen as “empowerment”.
Nothing kills the soul more than sexual sin. It creates a divide between your body & spirit. Leaving you feeling dead on this inside, starving to be made full.
Which is how the modern day woman feels. & why she needs to fill her life with all these things outside of her (sex, men, money, fame, clothes, likes, followers, new age practices, etc.)
When all she really needs is a relationship with Jesus Christ.
“For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.”
2 Timothy 3:2-7
