Good News

The good news is, it’s already been done. God has already won the war. Although we’re deep in the battle of darkness at this time in history. The good news is, the devil has already been defeated in the blood shed of Jesus Christ on the cross. Believing in this sets you free & you are reborn a child of God. You are made anew in the light of the Lord & you can use that light to walk through this time with faith & confidence that even if the whole world may perish, you shall inherit eternal life.

This promise is made by our Father, that those who believe in His Son, will inherit the Kingdom of God. It’s as simple as laying your life down to follow & obey the Word of God in the name of Jesus Christ. He sent His Son to do the work for us. Our Creator loves us so fiercely that He came here & died for us so that we could live forever through the act of our repentance & obedience. The mercy given to us was a gift that came with much suffering.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” ||John‬ ‭3:16

Our Maker experienced more suffering than any of us will ever know & still He gave himself up, just as we are to give up ourself for Him & in doing so, yes, we will lose our life of flesh, of sin, of disobedience. But what we gain from the submission to our Lord is our admission into His eternal glory.

Jesus Christ is an invitation for all, not just some who are deemed “worthy” or “special”, but every single body has received an open invite to enter into the Kingdom & sit at the same table as Him. To feast on the fruits of the Kings labor. To eat his daily bread. To drink his spirit in the name of communion. There is not a single soul that he does not love & the good news is, He’s sending out new invites every moment of every day. He’s calling us by name. He wants us with a jealous yearning. He desires to hold us in his embrace, to give us the safety & security & leadership we’re all so desperately longing for in this life.

“& let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. & be thankful.” || Colossians‬ ‭3:15‬

It does not matter if you’ve gone astray, if you’ve been wandering & have lost your way. He will come in search for you & he will lift you out of the trenches of hell, out of the bondage of your sins, out of the shackles of your addictions. You could be the “worst person in the world” & still He will seek you. He will bring you back to His herd of sheep. It does not matter to Him how long you’ve been walking another path. As soon as you humble yourself before Him & call out his name, He will hear you & He will come for you. He doesn’t care how long it takes, so long as you make an effort to know Him. He is patient & loving & will rescue you from your pain & suffering. You weren’t meant to walk this life alone. If you ask Him to be with you, you will receive & it will be the greatest reward you’ve ever been given.

“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, & one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains & go in search of the one that went astray? & if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray.” || Matthew‬ ‭18:12-13

There are no stipulations for His Love, except that you obey Him & His commandments. That you bow down & worship Him as your one & only God. To remove all other idols from your heart & replace them with Him. He wants your loyalty & as you surrender to His calling he will remain faithful to you. Through all your trials & tribulations. Through your suffering, loss, grief, He will always be there for you, unwavering. On your walk through life He will hold steady, as your Rock, as your Redeemer, as your solid foundation.

“For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

|| 1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:11

What you build your house upon matters. If you were to build it upon sand, surely it would be wrecked by the waves of life. But if you build your house upon the Lord, it will withstand any storm you will face. The enemy will be trying to beat down your door & still he will not succeed, because with God as your foundation, nothing or no one can destroy what He has built. He created you from dust. & when you pass away you will return to dust, but because He gave us the death & resurrection of His Son, you will live on for eternity. Your physical body will die, but your Spirit will be resurrected & all of heaven will rejoice at your entrance into the gates of Heaven.

The Good news is, through this journey of life you’re never alone. You have The Son walking with you, side by side, He is not controlling you, but guiding you. He is not forcing you to follow him, he’s encouraging you with faithful leadership. He is not condemning you for your sins, but rather, he is forgiving you for them. He’s not persecuting you for your wrongdoings, he is giving you the gift of mercy. So that through Him & his suffering for you, you may endure the temptations & tribulations of your time on earth with hope & faith. The Good News is; you are saved. You are loved. You are His.

“but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead & gave him glory, so that your faith & hope are in God. Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living & abiding word of God; for “All flesh is like grass & all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, & the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” & this word is the good news that was preached to you.” || 1 Peter‬ ‭1:19-25‬
