Day 23 of 31 Days of Prayer

{Personal Entry} 10/23/22

Father God in heaven, I pray to you today with great faith in your promises. I ask that you would help me today to put my trust in you & your ways. I pray for the self-control & discipline to stay grounded & rooted in love, Lord. Help me to be a better student & teacher of your word & your ways. I ask for your patience as I continue to grow in your vine & I pray for your wisdom & the ability to properly apply it to my everyday life. Be a shield to me today, Lord. Be a defense against the enemy & guard my heart & mind from the flaming darts of evil. I pray for your holy presence to surround me today & repel any demonic entities that want to infiltrate & influence my thoughts. Help me to purify my mind & take my unclean thoughts captive to you, Christ. Sanctify me & prune away what is a stumbling block to my spiritual growth & maturity. I want to be close to you today & I want to holdfast to my faith. Be a firm foundation for me to stand on & withstand the schemes of the enemy, Lord. Help me to sacrifice my flesh today & give life to my spirit, Father. I want to lay down my desires & place my focus upon your desires for me, Lord. I pray for eyes to see like you do & for ears to hear your commands for me. I ask for your strength in my weakness & that you would humble me today. Help me to lay down any pride at your feet & to pick up my cross & follow you, Jesus. I pray for the discernment of spirits & ask that you would help me to test the spirits & refine my spiritual gifts, Lord. Use me to honor who you are, make me more like you. I want to glorify your name with my actions & I want to display your goodness for all to see. Help me to be slow to speak, quick to hear & slow to anger. I pray for your Truth to root deeper into my being, so that it’s not just a belief, but a lifestyle. I want others to look at me & see you. Help me to better represent you, Father. Speak to me & through me today. Give me the right words to speak at the right time & help me to not lean on my own understanding, but to trust in you with all my heart & I know that you will make straight my paths, Lord. Help me to walk as a child of light & to be the salt of the earth that preserves your Kingdom. I pray for your peace to abound in my life today & the lives of others. I ask that you would send the Comforter & the Counselor of the Holy Spirit to be with all those who are in need of you today. Reveal yourself to them, Lord & show them that you are near & you’re listening to their groanings too deep for words & that you can satisfy their every longing desire. I pray for anyone who is suffering mentally, emotionally, physically & spiritually. I ask that you would be with them & help them to walk by faith & not by sight. I pray that you would heal them & deliver them from evil, Lord. Be a safe place for their hearts to heal & for their souls to find rest. Thank you, Father, for being my refuge & for binding up my brokenness. You have given me so much more than I could have ever imagined & I’ll never be able to thank you enough for all you’ve done for me. You are a faithful God & I put my hope in you. I place my future in your hands & let your will be done. I know that your plans for me are for good & not for harm. Thank you for protecting me spiritually & setting my soul free. I love you, Lord. With all my heart, all my soul, all my mind & all my strength. I pray this all in the beautiful & mighty name of Jesus Christ.
