Day 12 of 31 Days of Prayer

{Personal Entry} 10/12/22

Father God in heaven, I pray to your today & ask for your hand to hold me through the days of darkness & that you would be a light shining on the narrow path. I pray that you would guide me with your voice. I am your sheep & I hear you & your ways, Lord. I pray for the discernment to test the spirits & to separate the wheat from the weeds. Be a fountain of living water for my thirsty soul & fill me full of your Holy Spirit, Father, so that I do not lust after the things of this world. I pray that you would make me a city set on a hill that shines your light, Lord. I ask that you would continue to reveal the Truth of your word to me. Teach me all your ways, Father. I pray that you would reveal the laws you’ve written on my heart & help me to abide by them. Help me to grow in your vine & produce the bountiful fruit of your Spirit. I want to obey you & your commands for me today. Help me to be submissive to you & your teachings today. I want to be a better student. I want to know you more, Father. I love being your daughter & I want to please you. I pray for strength to stand firm in my faith & to be unwavering in my faithfulness. I want to be faithful to you, as you have been faithful to me, Lord. I pray for boldness to share my testimony without fear & give me a spirit of courage to proclaim the good news of Jesus. I need to be close to you today, Father. Hold me in your warm embrace & comfort me with your kind & lowly presence, Lord. Humble me today & help me to take every thought captive to obey you, Christ. I pray that you would break every chain of uncleanness within me & that you would rebuild my foundation on the Rock. I pray for your protection against the schemes of the enemy & that you would quench every flaming dart of wickedness that is thrown at me today. I put on the full armor of God & i hold fast to the Spirit of Truth & Life, knowing that I am safe in your arms, Lord. I pray that you would also protect my family from the evil one. I ask that you would send them the Helper of the Holy Spirit to watch over them. I pray that you would come upon their homes & all the unclean spirits would flee from them & that you would reveal yourself to them & they would know that you are there & that you see them & hear their cries & feel their pain & that you would comfort them in their distress. I pray that you would pour out your peace that surpasses all understanding on them & they would know that it is you, Lord. I pray for the salvation of all those who I love & hold near & dear to my heart. I know that your hear my unspoken prayers & that you are faithful to your promises. I pray that you would be to them a refuge in time of need & that in their weakness you may be known & glorified for your strength, Father. My family needs you right now & I ask that you would draw near to them & be a light in their darkness. Thank you, Lord for being my safe place, for giving me a place to rest & for restoring my soul. I am so grateful for your everlasting love & for your peace that abounds in my life today. You are a miracle worker & I am thankful for your works in my life. Please continue to minister to my heart, Lord. I will continue to delight in you & your ways & I pray that you would make straight my paths & give me the desires of my heart. Thank you for listening to me & hearing me & for seeing me & loving me & meeting me right where I am. Help me to do the same with others, Father. Use me to show them who you really are & I pray that I would decrease & you would increase, Jesus. I love you with all my heart, all my soul, & all my mind. I pray this all in the beautiful & mighty name of Jesus Christ.

While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him.”
