3 Ways to Nurture your Divine Feminine this Cancer Season

A step by step guide to embodying your feminine radiance and magnetizing abundance with flow and ease.

Today I am sharing my not so secret 3 ways to implement a “feminine” based Self Care routine to ensure that you make it through this astrological season with some grace and all the gratitude. You are not alone in these unfamiliar and downright strange times. And it's only about to get weirder as we approach the Aquarius Full Moon later this Month. July is simmering hot and you’re going to want to connect deep to that divine feminine essence to create a self “cooling” or if you will, a self regulating system to anchor you to the Earth and your body.
Number One,
Change your diet: Now, for some of you I am picking up that you know the exact steps you need to take in order to shift your relationship with your body. One of the most important ways that we feed the divine feminine, is what we put into our bodies. It’s a sign of respect to our bodies when we nourish it with foods that are filled with nutrients that haven’t been processed or packaged. This isn't to say you can't be a human and enjoy what you consme, it's simply about becoming more self aware.
For some, you are wanting to make this dietary shift for your entire family and it’s going to require that you lead by example, that you do the “hard work” while they observe your new behavior. For other’s of you, you are being guided by your body's wisdom, through signals or reactions to certain foods that are needing to be removed from your diet. Others of you are struggling with an eating disorder and you’re desiring support from your body. You may feel low energy and lethargic. You may find that your eating habits are creating discomfort in your body and you’re ready to take action to feel strong and healthy and confident in your being.
Start by watching your body, not necessarily what you eat. You don’t need to “watch what you eat” or “watch your weight” you just need to watch your body, to become the watcher, the observer of your thoughts and emotions. Compassionately observe the thoughts in your mind while eating. Where are you at mentally during a meal? Are you distracting yourself with your phone or the TV? Are you tasting the food you’re eating? Are you present with your plate?
Now, this is where, what I like to say, the “magic happens"... While you are in the ACT of consuming any contents, food, beverages, whatever it is, get your Self, your thoughts and emotions in a state of Gratitude. Gratitude alchemizes the shame most of us feel for simply eating a meal and thoroughly enjoying it. Stop restricting your diet and start opening your heart and mind while being with food and your body.
Lastly, stop obsessing, over your calories consumed, over your weight, over your body, over your appearance. Because when you take the initiative to dive just below the surface of your awareness there is a stillness so loud, a gentleness so soft that whispers nothing but loving and encouraging knowings while you are present with a meal, a snack, a binge…
All you have to do is, compassionately witness your inner dialogue while eating and when you become aware of the negativity accompanied by eating, consciously shift your focus, inner eye, energy, with thoughts and feelings of gratitude, love and acceptance. Let go of the Self Judgement. The Divine Mother within loves unconditionally. Trust your body's wisdom and confidently follow its guidance.
Number Two,
Create something: This is going to look different for each and everyone of you. Your creativity is where you get a chance to express your Emotional Self. You can think of this aspect of yourself as your Inner Child if you would like. Remember, the Inner Child doesn’t need anything to be “perfect”, it simply creates to create. For some of you, you’re wanting to connect more deeply to your emotions. You’re desiring to express your heart’s desires, or speak your truth, or stand up for yourself, or to make a bold and courageous decision. Whatever it is for you, that you are needing to get off your chest, Cancer season could not be a better time for you to begin! Others of you are being guided creatively and you're taking action even though it doesn’t make logical sense. Spirit says that you can trust these creative inspirations and act on them in whatever way calls you.
Begin by picking a particular creative outlet that appeals to you. And remember, you can’t know if you’re good at something or if you like it, if you don’t try first. It’s important to approach this creative experience with an open mind and heart.
Next, release expectations about how it should look, or turn out, or be and just allow yourself to become immersed in the creative activity. Give yourself an allotted time to discover, explore and get a “feel” for it. This is where we are in the pursuit of finding our joy. If there’s an endeavour that’s always called to you, do not hesitate to simply begin. You’re not going to be perfect. But with practice and play you will start to unleash, literally, unbind and set your Inner Child free.
And finally, schedule out time in your calendar for these creative playdates with your emotional Self. This will act as an emotional release so that you are less likely to be triggered emotionally by other people's behavior or actions or lack thereof. You take emotional responsibility for your life and you untangle your wings with your Will. Your creativity will set you free and it begins and ends with just one baby step at a time. Find an outlet that feels True to you and commit to it, devote to your emotional freedom with intentionally setting aside time to create and play!
Number Three,
Rest and recharge: Hustle culture has created so many illusions for some of you. You are feeling heavily influenced and even pressured into proving your worth through numerical value. Your sense of Self Worth is entangled in the opinions of others and it’s keeping you feeling disempowered. For others of you, you are healing from limiting beliefs formed from your childhood and you’re awakening to ancient ancestral wisdom that is leading you on a completely different path than what you were taught. This is shedding old layers of pain and trauma and opening you up to healthy connections in all areas of your life.
Firstly, you’re going to yet again need to schedule out time in your days and weeks to find stillness and connect intimately with your Spirit through the quieting of the mind. This can be as simple as getting up 10-20 minutes earlier each morning to have a moment to yourself before anyone else is awake. And this isn’t time to check your phone or watch the news. This is time that needs to be intentional. It is time for self reflection and connecting to your peace and pleasure. This act of Self Care will greatly shift how you show up in all your relationships.
Now, you’re going to dedicate a certain amount of time to a specific practice that allows for you to put all distractions aside and be in the company of your Soul. Once you move beyond the mental chatter of constantly distracting yourself and being out in crowds and unconsciously absorbing energies that aren’t yours to carry you will start feeling lighter, in mind, body and heart. Ever feel like a burden at the end of the day? Like you're carrying around the weight of the world? And you're tapped out and exhausted? Then you end up missing out on quality time spent with your friends and family becuase you're mentally and emotionally drained? And all you want to do is numb out with your prefered distraction?
You have to practice letting it all go, the thoughts, the emotions, you have to let them flow in order to let them go. It's not easy to relax when your nervous system was set for a baseline of stress, but through the practice of mindfulness and setting aside time to "do nothing" is what will rejuvenate your energy and open up s p a c e to receive more wellbeing. You can’t cling to a thought pattern and expect it to go away, you have to create time, in the stillness, to release attachments and form a new narrative.
Last, but certainly not least, give yourself time to just be with your breath, to be with your body, to be one with the stillness, because that is where you exist beyond time and space. Remember, you are not limited by anyone or anything. The only limits that exist are the ones in your mind. You don’t find solutions or answers in the mind, you hear, feel, sense and intuit them through the body. You are a human lie detector and everytime you lie to yourself, by cutting yourself down or judging, criticizing, blaming, shaming, rejecting YOU, you are betraying yourSelf and disconnecting from the Divine Feminine Essence within. Stillness is where you reunite and nurture that infinite and multidimensional aspect of your Self. Shedding old layers and birthng a new perspective from the inside out!

As you begin to implement these practices, know that they take time, patience and repetition. Don’t get hard on yourself or beat yourself up if you “fall off track”, just dedicate to always trying again. Every time you’ll come back stronger. Another divine feminine tip to remember is, your Self Care routine is going to grow and shift and change, let it. Don’t let your routine become predictable and rigid because then you’re moving away from the feminine fluidity and falling back into old ways of patriarchal rigidity.
It is possible to live a very fluid and structured life. You do not need the things you “think” you need in order to live a “successful” life. Adapting to a feminine based way of life, after being indoctrinated for generations to force, control and micromanage every detail of your life is mentally and emotionally challenging. But, that’s when we are free and that is when we are living, that is when we are truly and authentically thriving and prospering.
Your Power comes from the act of surrender. Instead of trying to control your life and how you are perceived by others, stand in your own unique vibration and let GodSource recreate your life, to rebirth the Image of you that It sees. In order to nurture your Divine Feminine you have to get out of your own way and dare to explore and express the aspects of you that have been buried deep in the darkness of the subconscious mind. This part of us can only be accessed through the body. So, this cancer season, get out of your mind, and into your feels, because that’s how your heart expands and trauma heals.
